The breeding ranges of the Red-headed and Black-headed buntings (Passeriformes) overlap in southestern Caspian Sea where hybrid specimens can be found. Mainly using Mist nets, we sampled 81 specimens of the Red-headed bunting (57 males and 24 females) from north and northeastern Iran in order to investigate sexual dimorphism, intraspecific variation, and role of hybridization on species-specific traits. The Independent sample t test and the PCA were performed on 15 morphometric characters using SPSS and PAST softwares. Furthermore nine chromatic characters were coded and analyzed in PHYLIP and PAUP softwares. Results of morphometric characters showed significant difference between male and females. Analyses of plumage coloration showed that there are at least four morphotypes in the Red-headed bunting. We concluded that using morphometrical and especially chromatic characters we will be able to discriminate pure individuals from most F1 hybrids. نفود ژن از گونه‌ای به گونه دیگر به علت دورگه‌زایی از جمله مکانیسم‌های مهمی است که بر تغییرات درون گونه‌ای اثر می‌گذارد و باعث ایجاد صفات جدید بخصوص در ناحیه دورگه زایی می‌شود. زردپره سرسرخ (Emberiza bruniceps) و زردپره سرسیاه (Emberiza melanocephala) (راسته گنجشک‌سانان) در جنوب شرق دریای خزر دارای ناحیه دورگه‌زایی هستند. در این مطالعه به منظور بررسی دوشکلی جنسی و تغییرات درون گونه‌ای زردپره سرسرخ و بررسی اثرات دورگه‌زایی بر صفات خاص گونه ای،81 نمونه ( 57 نر و 24 ماده) با استفاده از تور پرنده گیری از فلات ایران جمع آوری شد و 15 صفت کمی و 9 صفت رنگی اندازه‌گیری و آنالیز شد. آزمون T مستقل و تجزیه به مولفه‌های اصلی (PCA) در نرم افزار SPSS و PAST تفاوت معنی داری را در صفات کمی بین جنس نر و ماده نشان داد. همچنین آنالیز صفات رنگی جنس نر با استفاده از نرم افزارهای PHYLIP و PAUP وجود چهار ریخت سنخ اصلی را در این گونه آشکار کرد. نتایج نشان داد بسیاری از نمونه‌های دورگه نسل اول از نمونه‌های خالص با استفاده از صفات کمی و به خصوص صفات کیفی قابل شناسایی هستند. https://animal.ijbio.ir/article_626_45645a27c4f1adc8a7a835976064a86d.pdf
